The Great Give Away! Lent reimagined: unclutter your life. March 12 - April 9.
Soup supper at 6, the Great Give Away at 7.
Most of us find that our homes and garages are full of STUFF that we no longer need and find it hard to part with. You know, that pair of jeans you are sure that you will fit into again someday, that jar of nails that might come in handy, books you think you might read again sometime, those spare water bottles, the bread machine you got for a wedding present, or great aunt Betty's tea cups. Each week we bring a thing to church that clutters up our home or heart. We light a candle, tell the story of the thing, and leave it behind. We will dispose of it for you in the most ecological way possible and you have lightened your load and freed a tiny bit of your spirit. Great Give Away!
